What happened to Bob?

Bob has been a very busy boy!  Unfortunately, this blog became a back-burner project for a couple of years.

Why?  Glad you asked!  Bob and his wife, Julie Everhart, have been working and growing their photography business.  In fact, part of the original hiatus from the blog was due to Julie having surgery to repair torn ligaments in her elbow.  Any idea how much your arm goes through lifting a 7-8 pound camera to the eye up to 500 times a day?

After her recovery (which went amazingly well!), they travelled for weeks at a time, took on new projects and techniques, and, of course, all the time Bob continued his work in the Telecommunications Business.  After all, nothing makes it easier to buy new equipment than to have some serious money coming in!

It seems as though all of these efforts are starting to align. Here's a little update on the particulars:

2015 brought a five week RV-enabled Photo-tour of the East coast of the United States, and even venturing into Canada.

Julie has become a Guru on the website Gurushots.com - a competitive photography site where many levels are achieved by competing in double blind competitions with other photographers from around the world.  Along the way, she blew away all competition (including Bob) in an Infrared Challenge! The site gave her the Top Photographer award, although in reality she also had the Top Photo.  They don't like to give the two top awards to the same person, so Top Photographer was the preferred award.
[Please remember this phrase as you read on]

Julie has also had her work featured as the cover photo for the Vermont Fall Foliage website for 2015, the cover of Vermont's "Destinations" magazine for travellers for their fall 2015 edition, and is still seen as the cover photo for the Governor of Vermont's facebook page

Bob is knocking on the door of becoming a Guru, and with a little luck will achieve this prestigious title before the end of the year.

Meanwhile, the addition of not one but two Ultra High Definition Drones have been added to the arsenal allowing both to fly and video or shoot beautiful still images with a completely different perspective that previously available.

New camera bodies and lenses, along with two 44" Printers and a complete stock of paper, canvas, mats, and framing material have been added as well.  For more information on their products and services, check out our Website.

Most recently, Julie is beta testing a new Smart DSLR Camera device by Cambuddy that will be available soon, and is currently waiting to hear back from Top Photographer where she has been chosen as a Semi-Finalist in Nigel Barker and Adorama's new TV Series.  If chosen as a Finalist, she will be flown to New York City for the filming of the series where the top 5 photographers will be pitted against each other competing for over $50,000 in new Canon camera gear AND an exhibition of their work hosted by Nigel Barker in New York!  If you would like to see her video submission for Round 2, just click here.  Please remember to leave a few kind words!

Every effort will be made to get back to more frequent posts, more insights, tips, and techniques, as well as updates on their progress with upcoming posts.  In the meantime, thanks for remembering and forgiving this slightly busy schedule.  Now clean that glass and get back to making those shutters click!
